The annual Neighbor Information Evening of the Beerse site took place on September 28, 2010. Janssen organizes these evenings to provide the local residents with as much information as possible about new features on and around the campus. All neighbors living within a radius of 100 m of the company receive an invitation in their letterbox.

In line with tradition, the neighbors were presented with an overview of the events that took place at Janssen during the past year. They also received the latest information with regard to environmental, health and safety topics. This year, there was a special focus on the operation of the Janssen company’s fire brigade.

It was then time for our Tibotec-Virco colleagues, as newcomers to the Beerse campus, to describe their activities. The evening session was rounded off with a visit to the renovated laboratory building B014, after which all attendants had the opportunity to relax and have a chat over a snack and a drink.

We received extremely positive feedback from our visiting neighbors. They very much appreciated the information evening, and found the session regarding Tibotec-Virco very interesting. More than one local neighbor said that they were already looking forward to the next edition.

And Janssen itself? Well, we will be happy to use the constructive feedback from our neighbors as an input for our annual environmental, health and safety plans.
