Innovation is in our genes – without Dr. Paul Janssen’s spirit of innovation our campus would never have developed into the global player in the pharmaceutical industry it is today. Whether it involved finding solutions for specific patients’ problems or pioneering breakthroughs in molecular research, time and again Doctor Paul set an example and showed us how it should be done.
 
Today we are taking it one step further by decisively opting for open innovation. We are engaging in partnerships with internal and external partners in order to introduce new technologies into our scientific environment.
 
In fact we are looking beyond the boundaries of our campus. For instance, every year we present the Dr. Paul Janssen Award for biomedical research. This prize aims to promote, recognise and reward passion and creativity in biomedical research.
